Hundreds of Money Nerds took over Palm Springs for FinCon 2026.
Personal finance creators learned from each other. Brands and creators sat down to talk business. Internet friends finally met IRL. Ideas were shared, connections were made, and a whole lot of Money Nerds found their people.
And now that everyone’s home, we crunched a few numbers to see what actually happened when this community got together.
FC26 ATTENDEES AT-A-GLANCE
FinConners traveled to Palm Springs from 44 states and 9 countries.
And the creators in the attendance reported a combined audience of more than 58 million people.
That last number is a big one.
That’s 58M+ people turning to FinCon creators for help understanding money and building better financial lives.
When hundreds of the people doing that work get together to learn from each other and make their businesses stronger, the impact goes a whole lot further than Palm Springs.
And they talk about pretty much every part of money.
Investing. Financial freedom. Budgeting. Retirement. Debt. Small business. Family finance. FI/RE.
FinCon creators serve different audiences, build different kinds of businesses, and take very different approaches to talking about money.
For a few days, they get to do it in the same place.
The people really are the best part.
209 Money Nerds came to their very first FinCon this year.
And 9 have been to every single one.
Attendees hosted 44 User Generated Experiences, filled Dinner Club tables, met internet friends IRL, and apparently really wanted to find each other in the app:
- 14,400 private 1:1 messages
- 20,025 attendee profile views
Whova told us FinCon attendees were substantially more active than they typically see. Money Nerds finding their people.
“So many of us spend most of the year working behind a screen, then for a few days we get to actually sit together, talk, laugh, share ideas, and just be real people together.”
— Kelly Anne Smith, @freedominabudget
“It felt like connecting with colleagues I just hadn’t met yet, where everyone is rooting for each other to succeed.”
— @flourishfinancingcoach
FinCon is only as good as the people willing to share what they know.
More than 75 speakers took the stage at FinCon 2026 to share what’s working, what isn’t, the numbers behind their businesses, lessons they’ve learned, and challenged the room to think differently about what they’re building.
A huge thank you to every speaker who came ready to teach, answer questions, and share what they know.
“FinCon was a great reminder that effective content is about so much more than keeping up with a posting schedule. It’s about understanding your audience, staying curious, and telling stories with intention.”
— Taylor J.
Brands + creators showed up ready to work together.
162 brand reps from 75 companies joined us at FinCon 2026.
Creators and brands scheduled 1:1 meetings, swapped business cards, talked partnerships, made introductions, and started conversations that are still going.
And a big thank you to the sponsors, exhibitors, and brands that helped make FinCon 2026 happen.
And y’all made a LOT of stuff.
Creators recorded 19+ hours of content in the official FinCon recording booth alone.
And that doesn’t count everything we saw being recorded in hallways, the lobby, FinCon Central, and anywhere else someone found a place to set up a camera.
We’ve been collecting some of it in our Made at FinCon YouTube playlist.
We’re also sharing what attendees made across our socials.
And since we’re apparently keeping very important records…
More than 2,400 free headshots were taken, courtesy of AARP.
There were 2 enormous inflatable convertibles.
And at one point, 17 Money Nerds were spotted inside one of them at the same time.
Very Palm Springs of us.
The numbers are fun. The people are the point.
FinCon works because people show up willing to share what they know, ask questions, make introductions, talk business, cheer each other on, and generally make the internet feel a little smaller for a few days.
So, to everyone who came to FinCon 2026, spoke, sponsored, volunteered, hosted something, recorded something, introduced yourself to somebody new, or otherwise added something to the week:
Thank you for making FinCon 2026 what it was.
