HD Hyundai picks Tamil Nadu’s Thoothukudi for multi-billion dollar shipyard project
South Korea’s HD Hyundai will build a major shipyard in Tamil Nadu’s Thoothukudi, a project estimated at over $2 billion and announced at the Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave. The company signed an MoU with the state, joining Cochin Shipyard and Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilders, which are setting up greenfield shipyards in the region.
