KG Builders, the Chennai-based real estate developer, is looking at a 5x growth in the next four years to achieve around ₹1,500 crore in revenue, from the present ₹350 crore, the company executive said. It has projects across all the verticals – residential, commercial and plot development with Gross Development Value exceeding ₹3,200 crore.
Haresh Kishor, Director, KG Builders, said the company now has presence only in Chennai, but plans to expand in Coimbatore and Bengaluru. So far, the company has delivered over 10 million sq ft and has around 14 million sq ft of expansion planned in the next five years, he said.
Kishor said North Chennai, which has been neglected till now, will see huge development in real estate business. With shortage of space in South and West Chennai, land is available only in North Chennai. Some of the old factories in North Chennai are getting converted into residential or buildings, he said.
In North Chennai, the company has put up two residential and a plot development project.
In commercial projects, the company has 1.4 million sq ft under construction and upcoming projects in places like Medavakkam and Adambakkam with a GDV of ₹1,400 crore.
On plot development, Kishor said the company has a land bank of nearly 100 acres in and around Chennai. The Tiruvottiyur plot development will have 112 plots (4 acres); Valarpuram near Sriperumbudur will have 500 plots (in 27 acres) and Muttukkadu in East Coast Road (5 acres) will have 50 luxury villa plots. The GDV in these will be around ₹675 crore, he said.
The company is also foraying in to warehousing with a 1 lakh sq ft built up area in Valarpuram, he said.
