The Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI) has attracted cumulative investment of ₹9,207 crore by approved applicants, the Food Processing Ministry informed the Parliament on Thursday.
The Central Sector scheme, with an outlay of ₹10,900 cror,e has so far approved 170 applications. In a written reply, Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Ravneet Singh, informed Lok Sabha, “The cumulative export sales of the PLISFPI beneficiaries from FY April, 2021 to FY September, 2025 is ₹89,053.44 crore for the approved products.”

The scheme aims to support food manufacturing entities with stipulated minimum sales and willing to make minimum stipulated investment for expansion of processing capacity and branding abroad to incentivise emergence of strong Indian brands.:
