Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu receiving Bill Gates, Chairman of Gates Foundation, in the State Secretariat in Amaravati on Monday
Bill Gates, Chairman of Gates Foundation and co-founder of Microsoft, arrived in Andhra Pradesh Capital Amaravati on Monday morning and was received by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the State Secretariat
Bill Gates and his delegation of six representatives from the Gates Foundation will hold a brief meeting with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and IT Minister Nara Lokesh.
Bill Gates will visit the Real-Time Governance Centre (RTGS) at the Secretariat where Naidu is expected to explain the outcomes achieved through the RTGS system. From the RTGS centre, Gates will also review the use of technology in government administration.
A meeting will be held with Bill Gates and the Gates Foundation delegation along with ministers and secretaries of various departments. The discussions will focus on expanding projects undertaken by the state government in the fields of education, healthcare and agriculture with the support of the Gates Foundation.
Naidu will give a presentation on the objectives of Swarna Andhra Vision 2047, public health, agriculture, education and reforms implemented across various sectors.
He will also explain initiatives related to MedTech, diagnostic services, precision farming and other projects. In particular, the state government will present details of the Sanjeevani Project, which is being implemented with the support of the Gates Foundation.
Later Bill Gates and his team along with the Chief Minister will visit an agricultural farm near Undavalli village in Amaravati. Bill Gates will observe farming practices being carried out with the help of AI-based technologies.
